Pre-Engineered and Hybrid Steel Buildings — Manufacturer in India
A pre-engineered steel frame for the span. Light gauge steel framing for the walls and roof. Clear spans past 30 metres with an envelope that is insulated, quiet and properly finished inside.
What Is Hybrid Steel Building?
A hybrid steel building combines two systems in one structure. The primary frame is a pre-engineered building (PEB) — columns, rafters and bracing designed and fabricated in the factory, carrying the load and delivering the clear span. The walls and roof are then framed in LGSF, light gauge steel framing, instead of conventional sheeting or masonry infill.
The reason to do this is straightforward. PEB gives you span and load capacity: 30 metres and beyond with no interior columns. LGSF gives you the envelope — insulated wall and roof build-ups, a proper internal finish, and the acoustic performance a plain sheeted shed cannot reach. Most steel buildings force you to choose. A hybrid building does not.
Jadro Steel manufactures both systems in-house at Panchla, Howrah. The PEB frame and the LGSF envelope come off the same production floor, engineered together from the first drawing rather than specified by two suppliers who never speak. We deliver across Kolkata, Durgapur, Asansol, Siliguri, and throughout Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam and the Northeast.
Why Build Hybrid Instead of Standard PEB?
Full PEB Span, No Compromise
The primary frame is a true pre-engineered building — tapered columns and rafters engineered section by section. Clear spans past 30 metres, crane loads, mezzanines. The hybrid envelope changes nothing about what the frame can carry.
An Interior You Can Actually Work In
LGSF wall and roof framing carries insulated build-ups rather than a single sheet. The difference in a Bengal summer is not marginal — it is the gap between a building people avoid at midday and one they work in.
Quiet in the Monsoon
A sheeted roof in heavy rain is loud enough to stop conversation. An LGSF roof with an insulated build-up is not. This matters more than most clients expect until they have sat under both.
Finished, Not Industrial
LGSF walls take internal boarding, wiring and plumbing inside the frame cavity. You get a building that looks and feels finished, not a shed with an office partitioned into a corner.
Lighter Envelope, Efficient Frame
Light gauge framing keeps envelope weight down, so the PEB frame carries what it needs to and no more. Efficient steel usage rather than a heavier frame supporting a heavier skin.
One Manufacturer, One Drawing Set
Frame and envelope are engineered together and fabricated in the same facility. No interface gap between a PEB supplier and a cladding contractor — which is where most steel building problems actually start.
Advantages
What the Hybrid System Gives You
- Clear spans past 30 metres from the PEB primary frame, no interior columns
- Insulated wall and roof build-ups carried by LGSF framing
- Acoustic performance suitable for occupied buildings, not just storage
- Services routed inside the wall cavity rather than surface-mounted
- Engineered for the specific wind and seismic conditions at your site
- Expandable later — the PEB frame is detailed for additional bays if you tell us your plan at design stage
- Both systems fabricated in-house at Panchla, Howrah, on one drawing set
Where Hybrid Steel Works Best
Use this guide to quickly identify if hybrid steel is the right system for your project:
Large Open Interior with No Columns
Hybrid steel is built for this — clear spans of 30+ metres.
Heavy Equipment, Machinery, or High Occupancy
Hybrid steel handles it — designed for industrial loads.
Structure Needed Faster Than RCC Allows
Factory fabrication delivers on time, every time.
Sports Facility, Hospital, Hotel, Factory, Warehouse
All proven hybrid steel applications in India.
Building That Can Be Extended in Future Years
Steel allows modular expansion — add bays without reconstruction.
Seismic or High-Wind Design Requirements
Structural steel performs well in both conditions.
Formal Structural Drawings for Permit Approval
Jadro provides certified documentation for all projects.
Tight Construction Site or Access
Hybrid steel components are pre-fabricated off-site, so tight urban plots or limited-access sites aren't a construction bottleneck.
Where Hybrid Steel is Used
ccupied buildings — where the envelope matters: banquet halls, marriage
halls, schools, hospitals, hotels, training centres, factory office blocks,
canteen and welfare blocks, fire stations, community halls.
Industrial buildings — where the span matters:factory sheds, prefabricated
warehouses, godowns, cold storage, logistics centres, multi-bay sheds.
