LGSF Site Office & Labour House At Howrah, West Bengal

A project site office and labour house built in light gauge steel framing at Howrah, West Bengal — roll-formed at our own plant in Panchla, a short road journey from the site, and erected by our own crew.

A site office and labour house earns nothing while it is being built

Every week a project team spends waiting for its own office is a week the project is not being run properly. That makes speed the entire specification. Conventional construction would have meant blockwork, plaster and curing time on a site that had other work to get on with.

Light gauge steel framing removed the wet trades from the critical path. The frame was made in the factory while the base was prepared, delivered, cut and labelled, and screwed together on site. Nothing had to cure before the next trade could start.

Built on our doorstep

Our factory is in Panchla, Howrah. This project was close enough that delivery was a short road journey and our engineers could be on site the same day if a question came up. That proximity is the reason we treat Howrah and Kolkata as a home market rather than a delivery destination — freight is a rounding error and response time is measured in hours.

A temporary building that does not behave like one

Site offices are often treated as disposable, which is why so many of them are uncomfortable. This one was framed and insulated properly, so it works through a Bengal summer and a Bengal monsoon rather than merely surviving them. Because internal partitions in a light gauge building carry no load, the layout can also be rearranged later without touching the structure.

The same system builds showrooms, sample flats and retail units — the difference is the finish specification, not the frame.
